Also: an interesting article about the rise and fall of his calculus program.

- I think his story really shows the impact that a good teacher can have, even despite all odds, but the presence of the bureaucracy that can stifle it.
- The article also attributes some of his success to the fact that students that wouldn’t typically get selected for an honors programs were allowed to participate through his “open door” policy–he’d teach anyone who wanted to learn.
