Dude, mine red ringed tonight too. Was only temporary though. Overheated and shut the f-down. Dylan’s two-ringed last night. WTF IS GOING ON?! I have no solutions though, but that’s a fucking terrible coincident that all three happened on pretty much the same day.

If its a 2 light red ring of death then it is less of a problem. It means that is overheating, possibly because your system is really dusty inside. Heres a video on how to open that slut up. The video is worth a watch just for the music playing. I need that song.

unfortenetly its a 3 ring.. i havent watched that video yet but ive seen people do things like try to overheat the console with blankets, theb letting it sit, then it works again temporarily… im pretty skepticsl of that though

if you get the real red rings all you gotta do is send the thing in to microsoft and they will send you a new one. I did for my original box. I guess the newer ones dont really get the red ring of death anymore is what i’ve been told but the older ones still do obviously.

I don’t think MS is honoring that repair policy anymore, though they should with their like 65% failure rate or some other absurd number I heard recently. I got the 3 ring last night but for whatever reason it’s working today. Hope that was a fluke.
