Brandon recomended that I check this out once i finished the series (which i finally did). Its an article from the onion that I almost fell out of my chair laughing about.

Been wanting to get back into it lately. Was playing some big team battles on Avalanche and Valhalla that were just making me grin wide, reminded me of old times. Anyway I would love to get some big team games going with people of the dylan, brandon, ryan, kyle, jeff, joe variety.

Hey so I threw together a crappy little page with our high scores. It’s editable and I tried to make it as easy to see where you should type as possible, but I didn’t put much time into this (like absolutely no CSS or real formatting). Don’t judge. You can find a link on the right side bar near the bottom called Mercenaries (or click that link).

If you want to edit your scores just follow these instructions:
Click on Site Admin on the right of this page
Then on the left of the page that loads click Pages
Hover over Mercenaries and click EDIT
Scroll down till you see the text that says **[YOUR NAME] [LEVEL] SCORE HERE** and **[YOUR NAME] CHARACTER USED HERE**
Fill in the areas (they may have “xxxx” or a score or a name, just change it)
And be sure to Update Page before closing

Best we have for now. Also, if you beat a Hi-Score for a level be sure to change it at the top of the page where I’ve listed all the Hi-Scores per level.

…we had banners? That was good times. Good times all around. Then the big mean sysadmin came in and took them away. Now the bad times are here. Are the bad times never going to go away?

I’m posting this because a) it’s apt, and b) I’m a sucker for throwbacks of any type, and c) Dick in a Box was pretty good. Not so sure I really dig this one though– it may go into the “just too weird for me” category.

I’d say I’m a relatively avid gamer, regardless of the dry spells from time to time: I can play any game with little or no idea what I’m picking up. With that said, I cannot, simply cannot, play Half Life 2 on the Orange Box for 360.

About 15 minutes into playing lite nausea sets in; 15 more minutes I start having to rub my temple and glance around to make sure the room actually isn’t bobbing up and down; 45 minutes in I’m struggling to keep my focus and lunch down; 1 hour in I hastily spam start, save my game, and shut the damn thing down. For the next two hours I’m drinking liquids and trying to regain my composure so I can get the homework I’d been putting off done.

Anyone else notice that certain games they just can’t play, because of motion sickness, gameplay, or something else? I’m worried Mirror’s Edge is gonna do the same thing that HL:2 is doing to me… maybe some Dramamine is in order (Dramamine for fraking gaming?! what kind of gamer am I..?).
