Good to hear there is some friendly old school high score competition going on with Mercenaries (for those of you who don’t know Mercenaries is the unlockable game within resident evil 5 that is probably good enough to be sold on its own imo). Question though: do you guys have the online versus dlc? I would love to go toe to toe with you guys in a 3 player free for all mercenaries match.

Wop, forgot to post. We don’t have the dlc yet but I’m tempted. Is it fun to shoot each other? I’m just not sure. Five bucks ain’t bad though. I wish they had a harder Merc mode, four people style (same team).

The fun part is doing mercs 2 vs 2, the slayer mode is fun but not like a finely balanced multiplayer experience (its no halo), more like just for fun. But i would match rather go head to head with you and dylan than just randos.

I’ll start tonight. I actually tried the first level out with midnight wesker and did a terrible job. It’s really hard to keep a combo.

The Real challenge is the solo stars jill challenge. If you can get an SS with her solo on a level I will be highly impressed.

I can’t even get an SS with STAR Wesker or Tribal Sheva! But I also accept. Using the Wii as your main internet browser sucks.

Recently I’ve found that powersuit jill is pretty dang good, as well as BSAA sheva. I guess i just didnt realize how much I like the rifle. Its a nice one hit kill and a great way to rack up a chain on solo.

I’m also branching out and getting to know the grenade launcher. It’s a really cool weapon its just that ammo management is a pain and my first instinct is to use it like a shotgun to clear guys out, but that often ends with me accidentally burning or electrifying myself. But otherwise very cool gun.

I’ve been working on STARS Jill (both solo and duo) to see if I’m competent at all with her. It’s a learning experience, especially after using Tribal Sheva exclusively for awhile.

There are two good things about stars jill that i can tell so far. Firstly she comes equipped with 5 flash grenades for taking out bursters, which is very nice on levels where they become major problems. Secondly she is a good character to use if your trying to melee kill for bonus time as none of her weapons will instant kill.
Also lately i’ve been giving clubbing sheva a go. She’s actually not half bad solo, shotgun, AK-47 which is strong, and also a rifle (though it is the shitty one) it can help racking up solo chains.

Ya, the flash nades are nice, plus her pistol is solid and dependable. The only problem you’ll run into is bosses. I enjoy using her though.

her pistol is decent, second tier. its a 3 shot kill, but a lot of the other characters have 4 shot kills so its good in that sense. the only person who has a two shot kill pistol is stars wesker. But 3 is definitely good enough and her smg is about 2nd tier too.

nice, i haven’t tried solo really yet, besides with Jill. Way to set the bar high.
