Abandon All Hope Ye Fanboys Who Enter Here

So I know that a few (all probably) of you were hoping, praying, contemplating during your yogic meditations, asking during Salah, that the conclusion to one of the best series in the history of video gaming would be ported to your lowly 360 consoles. And, up until now, there was still plenty of hope, in the form of speculation and rumor, of course.

Well, let me dash just a bit of that hope with some cold, hard, facts: the game, according to Hideo Kojima, will barely fit on one 50GB Blu-ray disc! He complains “that a few features had to be cut from the game” already just so it could fit on one disc.

Upon seeing that headline my first thought was, well shit, there’s no way they can port it now. And according to the article it looks like a game of that size would have to be “divided between about five dual-layer DVDs.” Yet, in a feeble attempt to keep some hope alive, Lost Oddysey is on four DVDs, soooooooo, who knows, right? Let’s keep hoping, cause the only person I know with a PS3 is my brother-in-law and he lives in Florida……

They’re not. Microsoft decided against including an HD-DVD reader in the 360. It’s available as an add-on.

ya, it sucks that Microsoft didn’t include them cause now they’ll be supported like the PS2 HD….. and you all remember how useful that thing was……..
