You can actually move the camera around yourself (hit Y, should do it I think). I’m away from a Box right now, but I’m pretty sure the splash damage wouldn’t kill me (even if I did strafe). That bean has to direct hit you to take you out, unless you’re in a vehicle. And even then it’s sketchy. I’ve (too) often laser’d the piggyback rider off a Goose and left the driver unharmed, which should lead credence to my splash damage claim.

So are you sure it was the turbine that killed you? I watched the video and it looked like you strafed so the beam hit the wall right in front, and the splash damage got you. But I can’t see it through your eyes so I couldn’t say.

lol thats awesome. halo 3 has some gnarly physics
