I can’t believe you haven’t gotten Geometry Wars yet. What would Special Agent Jiram Hohnson say if he knew? And trust me, he knows.
So, apparently, 7-Eleven is taking preorders for Halo 3… They’re giving them out at 12:01 too.
It seems cool, and saves having to go to Walmart for a midnight release. I think it’s a really good move for them… It takes advantage of their distribution and 24-hour openness and offers a convenient place for people to pick up their copy of the game. I bet they also sell a few Big Gulps and Slurpees on the side.
…I’m getting excited for the H3 launch. I swore not to make the same mistake as I did with H2, but I seem to, with less than a week (if you count the launch at midnight (which I am, which proves I’m losing control of my anti-hypeness)) left till release, becoming more engrossed by the day.
It started with those damn awesome “Believe” ads. Which in turn got me interested in seeing what Bungie.net might have to say on the subject (was curious (and a bit hopeful) that there just might be others). Well, little surprise the front page is plastered with H3 goodness, little morsels of savory treats: bite-size and alluring and oh so enticing to an addict who has been so long without.
So, suffice it to say I couldn’t resist. Because of my self imposed information embargo on most things H3 I didn’t know anything about this “Forge” that was flashing on the “Top Stories” section of the main page and I just had to click it. Well, I’m doubtful I can capture how awesome this idea sounds (I mean, just think of the replay value alone! and the innovative way of editing while still in combat. OH! its just too much!) but here, this link should suffice and entice you enough to lure you into a state of eager anticipation that it has for me.
Now I can only imagine the Sauce-ness that is the rest of the game that I know so little about….. Oh don’t fail me now Bungie, you’ve won me over again, for the second time, and as the President put it…
