Alright, alright… when did “woot” cease to be the sole property of l33t haxxors and gamerz and start being commonly used by 1. females, and 2. ones who have never played a video game in their lives? And more importantly than when, how?

When all the gamer friends started saying it around them and then they picked up on it.

We have to resort to words like “Wewt” that sound like woot….but not! :P

Boughter: it’s caught me off-guard when a couple of my friends have said it, but the most recent occurrance is from a 10th grader…

to me she looks like a gamer imo, plus i dont doubt she could have picked it up from turbo doom nerd clarinet player above her.
